What is a fiduciary?

The term "fiduciary" refers to an individual who holds a legal and ethical relationship of trust with one or more other parties. A licensed professional fiduciary has completed all education requirements and passed a state and national exam qualifying them to handle multiple cases professionally as National Certified Guardians. They are held to fiduciary standards, which requires fiduciaries to handle financial affairs with prudence, prioritizing the security and well-being of the client or trust.

What does a fiduciary do?

Simply put, a licensed professional fiduciary manages finances and sometimes other personal affairs for a client. This can include arranging medical treatment and caregiving, maintaining real property, estate execution, financial and investment planning, and many more. Each client's needs are unique, and licensed professional fiduciaries are equipped and dedicated to ensuring those needs are met so the client can maintain a happy and secure lifestyle, no matter the challenges.

Do I need a fiduciary?

You may require the services of a licensed professional fiduciary for many different reasons. Family members may not be available as trustees, or conflict may complicate trust proceedings to the extent that a fiduciary is necessary or simply beneficial. Courts may also appoint licensed professional fiduciaries for probate administration, or if a client is incapacitated or otherwise deemed unable to handle their financial affairs. No matter what, we are always here to support our clients' well-being.
